Kicking off this year, our team was incredibly ambitious about the scale and amount of projects we could pull off. However, we realized after many hours of research and team discussion that many of our ideas were not feasible within the small amount of time allotted. Although we came up with many creative ideas which will certainly be built upon in the future, we know we should have reached out to more non profit organizations much earlier. Other outside organizations would have helped us find a specific art style that translates our message in the clearest way. However, we did learn a lot about the mural making process (such as what is legal and illegal on school campuses, as well as in the neighborhood). We were also introduced to many cool projects and opportunities through our mural journey such as David Ryu's utility box art program.
Qualitative Evidence:
We were surprised by the amount of support we received from others, whether it was from other sleep related Instagrams following or dm'ing us, or just from the constant moral support we had from our teachers and peers who all participated in our project one way or the other.
